Opium: Antagonists

Opium: Antagonists was a third-person open-world game inspired by the dark, chaotic energy of the Opium universe. Originally imagined as a Don V concept video, the project evolved into a full-blown game idea—blending the lawless freedom of GTA with a surreal, high-fashion dystopia fueled by rage, style, and sound.

Why i scrapped it

In this video, I break down the early challenges I faced trying to bring Opium: Antagonists to life. This was also my first-ever commentary video on the channel. From designing custom outfits to experimenting with multiplayer and open-world mechanics… yeah, I definitely overshot the scale. Even with a small team, just building a demo would’ve taken way more time than expected—especially for someone with zero game dev experience. But that’s part of the process. These missteps were necessary to learn how to move forward.
